The company Tehnoguma d.o.o. started the project implementation in early March 2023, in accordance with the Grant Agreement signed with the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development and the Croatian Agency for SMEs, Innovation and Investments. The project is financed by the European Union – Next Generation EU, as part of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP).
The purpose of the project is to address the main issue of insufficient competitiveness and technological readiness of the company for further growth and long-term sustainability in both domestic and international markets by investing in new tangible assets. This will support the company’s overall business development and production system. The goal is to accelerate and improve the economy’s adaptation to current and future environmental requirements, the green and digital transition, increased competitiveness and technological readiness, expansion of production capacity, and the introduction of new technologies, devices, and equipment with the latest technological advancements and significantly better performance than the machinery and equipment currently used in production.
By expanding its production capacities, the company will be able to deliver larger quantities of demanded products and offer new products in addition to its existing portfolio.
Project activities include:
- Initial investments in tangible assets aimed at energy and resource-efficient transition;
- Project management;
- Promotion and visibility.
These activities will enable the achievement of the following results:
- R1: Increase in capacity and modernization of the existing production system by acquiring more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly devices, machines, and equipment.
- R2: Introduction of a new production line/phase for manufacturing new products made from recycled rubber (rubber sheets and mats) using rubber waste from regular production.
- R3: Procurement and installation of a new heating and cooling system to ensure energy production from renewable sources.
- R4: Procurement of additional equipment that contributes to green objectives.
